This stone received its name from the Greek goddess of the moon, Selene. Selenite can be used to cleanse the energy of your other stones & re-charge them. It is self-cleansing, does not like water & can break easily. You will need selenite crystals when there are a lot of things going on in your head & it’s starting to affect your sense of peace & quiet. It’s a good stone to have to help you quiet your mind & give you mental clarity. It’s also a good stone to have with you to protect you from any form of negativity.
