Archangel Uriel, whose name means "God is my Light" or "Fire of God," is recognized in Jewish and Christian apocryphal traditions as a leading angel of wisdom, truth, and transformation. Often considered the fourth archangel, he brings divine knowledge to humanity, illuminates situations with insight, and aids in emotional, mental, and spiritual healing.

  • Patronage: In various traditions, he is considered a patron of the arts, sciences, and the sacrament of Confirmation.
  • Attributes: Associated with the color red, yellow, or gold, Uriel is sometimes referred to as the "Regent of the Sun" or the "Angel of the Presence".
  • Connection to Humanity: He is believed to assist with intellectual pursuits, helping to release anger, anxiety, and bringing peace to situations. 

Uriel is sometimes called the "Angel of Sunday" and is venerated in Eastern Orthodox and some Catholic traditions, often associated with a feast day on July 28 or November 8.
