A clear quartz geode is a hollow, spherical rock formation whose interior cavity is lined with sparking, colourless and transparent quartz crystals. While the outside looks like an ordinary, bumpy grey or brown stone, cracking it open reveals a dazzling, mirror-like cavern of crystalline structures. 
They are secondary mineral formations that take thousands to millions of years to develop.
